An Invitation Vol. 3

An invitation:

Close your eyes. Take an inhale and a long exhale. As you fill and empty your lungs, picture a moment or memory that brought you joy, maybe you can find a photo, object, or song that brings you back into the memory. Sink into how you felt in that moment, who you were with, what made it feel good. Let it wash over you. Stay here for a few breaths.

Here is mine:

🌬️✨It's late August, I'm at a cottage on the lake with my mum and one of my sisters. The breeze coming off of the lake and in through the windows is chilly enough for us all to be curled under light blankets. Tea has been made to everyone's individual liking, the warm steam floating from each mug. The @scrabble board is set for a game and my book rests on the arm of the couch, waiting to be picked up where we left off. Our little dog is sleeping in my lap, I'm absently stroking his soft ears as we prepare for our game.🌬️✨

Mentally, I’m here. August, 2020

Thank you for coming along on my snippet of joy. As many of us collectively grieve the loss of gathering in this way with our people, dropping into the memory of moments past sustains me and fuels me with hope for these magical moments yet to come.

Send me a message or leave a comment if you'd like to be heard in sharing a snippet of your joy. It can be powerful to reminisce and put words to our experiences 💕🥰
