Like Sunrise at Dawn

I love dawn, but I don't often challenge myself to rise and greet her.

There's something awe-inspiring about meeting the day and seeing the sky's colours turn from deep blues and black to layered hues of yellow, orange and pink.

This time of day feels holy and filled with promise. It's a piece of joy that is forever accessible to me, to us. When life presents challenges and hardship that are beyond my control, it helps me to sink into the beautiful things life offers that are also beyond my control.

Like this sunrise
Like the way a mug of tea warms up your hands on a cold morning
Like when you catch a baby's smile
Like when a song you love comes on the radio
Like a flower blooming
Like the feeling of a soft blanket

I encourage you to make a list of the wonderful things that happen that you can't control, I hope it brings a little bit of comfort.
